England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Baltic Blue

I had a cam belt fail prematurely on an Astra many years ago. £1000 to repair, 4 bent valves, dinged some pistons. It was thought that I'd done more damage trying to start the engine once it had stopped than actually would have been caused when the belt originally snapped. I'd checked that the belt was in place before trying to restart but as it was just about totally enclosed couldn't see anything wrong.

Green Oval on Gelderd rd. could be worth a call. Know a couple of people who have used them and were more than happy with their service.

I always use genuine parts (or OEM at a push) for anything that important. Belts, brakes, suspension etc.
