SSD for PC

Installed one of these in my pc for the OS.
Windows 7 Ultimate now loads in 21 secs. Anyone else tried one of these drives? Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Yes, I did. After the POST, Win 7 Prof. loads in about 8 seconds. (Just measured it, made me curious)
But the SDD is rated 7.9 (maximum) on the Windows Experience Index and the system is optimized aggressively, the processor and memory being rated 7.8 on WEI.

I upgraded my MacBook Pro (2011 model) in 2014 and it is lightning fast. Amazing boot up and shutdown times and opening applications compared to the sloth state it was getting into. Mine is 250GB running OSX El Capitan with 8GB of RAM. Plenty for me but I have 2TB backup drive for Time Machine purposes.

Best upgrade you can do for performance Thumbs Up LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

I have used them for a couple of years, brilliant and you can forget about defragging etc. I have a couple in my desktop at the moment and don't bother with mounting kits I just stick them in with insulation tape or a spot of glue.
Saw a 240Gb one advertised yesterday for about £50. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto
