I compliment you on your fine emotive and captivating photography. Have you worked for National Geographic?

Hi athelstan, I wish I had a gig with the National Geographic, but still I sell my photos and stories to some magazines semi-professionally. I pride myself that I bought all of my photography equipment with the money I earned this way.

Cheers! Very Happy
Thanks mate. Start saving for a sand flag, uhf radio and sat phone hire if you want to cross the Simmo. My sand flag sits up on the roof racks and I use a 5 watt hand held uhf with external aerial and microphone. If I want to go for a walk I unplug it and put it in my pocket. I bought an Inmarsatt satphone pro at the last camping expo in Sydney. The roads out of the desert near Dalhousie Springs have horrible tyre eating rocks on them that nearly ruined mine a few years ago. You will have no trouble with the rest of those places. Might I suggest you add the Old Ghan Railway from Mt Dare to Chambers Pillar as well on to your list in that area? Cheers.
Hey Mike, I am listening! Very Happy

Haven't been here for a while. Thank you guys!

In the next three months I will travel to three very different exotic countries, and then I will have another long driving adventure in Australia. I promise to report about it promptly, if you are not bored with my crooked English Smile

We'll hold you to that - I thoroughly enjoyed the last one. And your English is better than that of many native English speakers!
