How are you finding the engine noise in the lr2 over the lr3?

Did a journey of approx 60 miles at the weekend, mainly motorway at speeds of about 70-80mph. It would seem the freelander prefers motorway to urban driving as consumption has increased to 35mpg

England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Santorini Black

if you reset it as you get on to the motorway and then check at the other end you can achieve an average of 42-45 mpg with the manual. I managed that quite a few times with my old FL2's. Overall combined average rarely dropped below 33mpg and was normally around 37mpg

its a different story with my current auto, but overall im still getting around 450-500 miles to a tank even though the average mpg is around 32mpg.

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Santorini Black

My 2011 manual FL2 has been between 36.7 and 35.7mpg since I owned it which is about 2 years and have towed a caravan as well with little change. A full tank according to the display will give me 500 miles +. Freelander 2 TD4 GS 2011 Manual Satorini Black (Current)

I'd be happy with anything around mid thirties and above. Most of my journeys are short local trips though. After only a couple of weeks of ownership I'm loving it Thumbs Up Mr. Green It better to laugh than cry
