Winter Prep

Hi all,

With the potential of a pretty cold week upon us, what sort of winter prep does everyone tend to carry out. Ive heard about some WD40 water resistant lubricant on door seals etc to stop doors freezing shut and to remember to take the window wipers out of auto mode. Confused

Any other ideas?

washer bottle, increase the amount of washer fluid to water to prevent freezing

door seals, with a product I have to do this

normally just then make sure tyres are ok, pressures etc and have a pair of waterproof shoes for the half mile walk home

I wouldn't tow anyone out of a ditch so no need for a tow strop, as there is too many claimers out there if it went wrong Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Get into the habit of making sure the wipers are not set to auto so they don't break themselves first thing trying wipe whilst frozen to the windscreen. Ditto for retracting the wing mirrors before switching off, so they don't break themselves trying to unfold on alarm deactivation whilst frozen.

this might attract some jokes but how do you know if they are frozen (dont say coz they will have frost on them Whistle ) and can be manually unfolded using the mirror switch? 2010 HSE SD4 in Santorini black
