We just bought a 2008 LR2 HR2 and so far it has been great. We recently took a highway trip and were very unhappy to find out the car had a loud high pitched whine coming from the right side of the sunroof. I had a look and cannot see an obvious cause. When at highway speed, if the sunroof is open there is a mesh panel that goes up at the front of the sunroof. If I play with the passenger side of this the sound will go away. Despite this no matter what I do I cannot get the noise to go away with the sunroof closed..

Any advice??

I regularly drive my LR2 i6 close to top speed and have never had any noise from the sunroof so would suggest getting the dealer to look at it. There was a rework for some retaining clips to be added to the sunroof, so it is worth that has been done and isn't the cause. Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!
