2013 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Orkney Grey
Slightly chuffed

Quite pleased with my fl yesterday. Drove into a muddy field and immediately regretted it. I have Michelin latitude sports on and lost grip quite quickly.

I did managed to get it round the field and back out again.

Unlike the RR sport on winter tyres and the disco2 that followed me as both needed pushing out.

The lighter weight of the Freely gives it the edge over some of its bigger relatives. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

United Kingdom 2015 Freelander 2 TD4_e SE Manual Orkney Grey

It would have been a walk in the park in a Fiat Panda 4x4 then?

Tyres are probably to answer more than anything, the Range Rovers probably got motorway/Tesco shopping tyres on it?

When we were in North Yorks last month it was surprising the number of Panda 4x4's and Suzuki Jimny's that were bombing around the lanes of the National Park.

That's one of the reasons I went for the Continental Cross Contacts, I have read about the Michelins and Pirelli Summer tyres losing grip on pure wet grass before! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. I really like the Jimny and the Panda, but they don't fit me. I have ridiculously long legs and I just don't fit them Sad

LOL

When I test drove a Jimny with one of my sons we p!ssed ourselves laughing when I squeezed behind the wheel, shut the door, he got in the other side and tried to shut the door......managed it only just. we are both 6'2 + and he is a rugby prop and build like a brick sh!t house. Shoulders touched both doors and we rubbed shoulders in the middle. The salesman had to admit it wasn't for us..... Shocked Shocked
