Mines is fine I've still got 15,000mls until empty so will get topped up by the dealer during servicing. I'm sure I read it's roughly 1000mls per litre of AdBlue. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

I would say be very careful with Adblue, When working on the trucks we had many problems with it but mainly due to human error..

because its effectively sheeps urine, we had drivers PI#sing in the tank to top it up Rolling with laughter

but the mani issue was when the Adblue ran out, as when it gets dry, it crystalises and blocks the nozzels, pipes etc and was very expensive to repair..

Granted I cam off the trucks in 2010 so maybe they have something inplace for this now..? like a shut off when the level is low.
It also makes your Cat a whole lot more expensive.. MY2011 Freelander 2 GS Santorini Black

I think add blue is a real pain in the ass as my 2015 ford transit uses more add blue then diesel. I find it cheaper to drive 20 miles to Exeter services garage who has a add blue fuel pump which is cheaper then buying it in a bottle.

There's no doubt this will become another money-making venture for the manufacturers who will all have complex filling arrangements that require their own bottle rather than something simple that people can fill themselves....

The car gives you plenty of warnings that you are running low, so if the owner is stupid enough to ignore the 3 warnings then they get what they deserve. So far I've had no problems with it, don't even know it's there.

Never had any problems with buses/coaches at work, well not until we got brand new Volvo B11 Elites and the AdBlue tank is in a different place to our bigger B13 Elites, so the shunter ignoring the fact he took of a black cap and not blue filled up the diesel tank with AdBlue Rolling with laughter £280k coach, 2 days old and the warranty is void. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

when my MX5 was in for a service I was speaking to a guy with a CX5 which was in to have Adblue problems fixed.

He was not a happy chappie and was adamant that the Adblue was the cause of a lot of his problems ( something to do with sensors)

A few Discos had problems with sensors but that seems to have been sorted now. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

ad blue arrived on farms a few years ago, everyone expected many problems, mainly on things like combine harvesters, parked up for many months then expected to run fine.

but touch wood few major issues reported yet

a few hauliers visiting the farm have reported ad blue disasters , seized pumps crystals etc huge bills but they are all historical not heard any recent woe stories At work

Most Combine Harvester owners have bigger things to worry about than AdBlue Big Cry

Modern engines need a lot of cooling to meet the tier 4 emission regs,, this is causing problems with dust and straw collecting on the new egrs, dpf ,adblue injection areas . so fires result, the extra engine fan capacity simply feeds the flames
They always were highly flammable things but the extra gubbins is causing more problems At work

I think I will stick to my 09 Plate SE NON DPF car as it has only done 49+ K miles and although it is quite heavy on fuel, especially on Forestry Commission tracks I am thinking "Why fix it if it ain't broke"

Hove much per litre is the sheep/cow pee anyway?

VW charge £1.50/litre IIRC

We've been using it in our fleet of buses/coaches since 2007 and had no problems. And so far no problems with the Disco, not sure what LR charge for it, though mine will last until it's service date. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200
