Flying Range Rover Sport

Ok so maybe it wasn't flying, but it certainly wasn't taking any prisoners as it charged up the sliproad and off down the highway.

It was a black RRS SC HST and whilst I followed it at a safe distance I clocked it at 235 km/h + (146 mph) Shocked The top speed is listed as 225 km/h so I'm guessing this one was modded, especially as accelerating after slowing down was pretty dam quick.

I've always loved the RRS but today just made me admire it a little more because of its poise at those speeds....it just looked at home, especially compared to the Cayenne which looks too high for my liking.

The RRS is very common here but if I didn't have the two cars I have now I would definately have one in a heart beat!

RRS's rock Bow down Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!

It must also have had the speed limiter removed....................... RRS is limited to 140mph as there aren't any tyres speed and load rated high enough for its potential top speed. Not bad for a 2.8tonne lump of steel is it though! How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?
Now driving - RRE Coupe Dynamic Lux Auto with Plus pack, Fuji White, Ebony, SD4 with tow pack

Gone (only a little missed) RRS Tdv6 2.7SE Giverny Green/Aspen

Normally with chip tuning it removes the limiter as well, but even with the limiter in place 140 is still darn quick for it!

Yeah I was in my Porsche so was easily able to catch up with the RRS, with my top speed of 289 km/h (179.5 mph) as I found out a few weeks back Twisted Evil The LR2 really tops out at 200 km/h and really does not want to go much more, so I would have simply seen a black flash Laughing Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!

There are speed limits and increasing fines, as well as the introduction of black points, but it doesn't scare everyone.

Speeding and standards of driving here are major problems, which is why I am very careful where I put my foot to the floor and think years of driving at high speeds has helped to look well ahead and anticipate the road..........still has its risks though! Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!

Gambba any time you want a life swap where I get to drive all your luxury cars at death inducing speeds in the hot sun under a blue sky and you get to sample 'good Scottish weather' (ie rain/snow/wind/freezing cold) and speed cameras, parking wardens, lager louts etc then please let me know. Very Happy Thumbs Up

It has it hards times too....honest!!

Last month no eating and drinking (or smoking if that's your thing) outside during the day due to ramadan, and temps up to 50 C.

The grass is always greener on the other side....but for me that really has been the case Thumbs Up Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!
