Scotland 2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Lago Grey
moving on

I can honestly say I enjoyed my Freelander 2 immensely both on and off road, with the appropriate tyres it is indeed a very capable motor again on and off road. Anyway I'll most likely pop in from time to time/keep in touch as this is one of the top 3 sites I enjoy being part of, albeit I'm one of your quieter members regarding posts so thank you admin team for running the site while we enjoy it. Tried a jeep Cherokee a while back, bit cramped. Tried a big ole' Wrangler a few weeks ago but a bit to cramped in the cab to be fair but wow what a machine, settled for the new Hyundai Tucson and happy with my choice and no it will not be going off road, heck I don't know if it's even capable of climbing a kerb Rolling with laughter

Hyundais are very good I had the original Tuscon top of the range fully loaded, 6 months old bought it for 16k Laughing. I then bought a new shape (at the time) Santa Fe, couldn't fault it but the LR bug was biting hard so I chopped it in for a D3. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

I remember a few years ago when we were looking at caravans, most of the dealerships staff owned Hyundais and swore by them for towing and reliability.

Hi Gordy, how are you finding the Tucson please ? If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

Our local dealership had a test day yesterday and I foolishly went and tried a D4, something I've always avoided, knowing full well OH would love it and the drive I thought would be highly superior to the FL2, unfortunately it was. So can I justify another 25K for a 14 model HSE,? it's the only LR to make sense for my needs now the Freely's gone. The Ewok drophead was there, only in AWD but there is a petrol version, no shortage of head room for the dog on sunny days Very Happy There is no way I'm going back to Hyundai they may seem good new but ride quality reduces quite drastically as each year passes my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

I had the previous Tucson after a terrible time with two Freelander 1's (Second returned to dealer for refund)
Like J77 Top of the range for 16k. Couple of issues with it which were my own fault TBH fixed with no quibble or cost. Found it very good in the snow and towing a big twin axle van, didnt like the IX35 but do like the new Tucson just not quite big enough for me. Probably chop the FF in for a Santa fe when they drop in price.
Was going to have a FL2 but this forum putting me off a bit.

Just Hyundai. they just don't have the underpinnings on the suspension and I don't like their ESP program which is reactive rather than proactive, I did have the earlier version Kia Sportage 06 and that had a good ESP but not the SF, wouldn't go back.
D4 latest Discovery. OH other half and as said Evoque convertible Very Happy my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

2008 CM model but as far as I can see the suspension design is the same just spring rates and most say the upholstery is actually poorer. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
