Auxiliary tensioner & belt replacement advise | |
So I discovered the rumbling from my engine is the auxiliary belt tensioner,
I have a few options ,
1)Work to be done by land rover service centre with genuine parts , tensioner & new belt, 12 months warranty, complimentary vehicle & diagnostic check & will be valeted on collection, £202.48 Inc of vat, parts & labour
2) get a quote from an Indy which I guess would be cheaper, (waiting on some)
3) source the parts myself , found them for £45 Inc vat & delivered from British car parts , roll up my slaves & do it my self!
Is it an easy diy job for a novice? a mechanic mate has said I can use his lift & he'll give guidance, obviously no come backs if it goes wrong ...
What are thoughts, cheers
