OBD2 Reader

Currently getting the dreaded Reduced Engine Performance warning coming up. It comes and goes but as of yet I cant figure out what is causing it. I have plugged in an OBD2 scanner and am using Torque to reset the fault but it wont show me the logged faults, it says there is nothing there.

Can anyone suggest another APP which may show me the fault?

ps I've tried searching on the forum and most people seem to be using torque 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE

Can't give you an answer on cheap tools but wouldn't be suprisedif it's your DPF. Do you use supermarket fuel? If so fill up with premium diesel and take a trip up the motorway for an hour or so. 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)

Hi Jim, I've only recently got the car, about 2 months ago, and haven't put anything but BP fuel in it since I got it. It's only this last few days its started playing up 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE

When was the fuel filter last changed??
I have had mine going into limp mode every now and again since July - usually under full throttle acceleration, but not always.
Anyway - changed the fuel filter a fortnight ago and it's not done it since.
Result!!

I have no idea when it was last changed, I assume it's part of a service? It goes into limp mode on start up, never when running 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE

We have had this on most of our FL2s and it is usually down to the fuel filter (ie it went away after the filter was replaced) in all cases there was no fault code and the fault would occur when extra fuel was required ie going up a hill. On the last occasion that it happened, however, it was one of the exhaust gas temp sensors see http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic24379.html 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Thanks for the reply, mines has never done it when the car is running, only during the system checks prior to the car firing up. I find this pretty strange as at this point it surely cant detect something like a filter being blocked. I have a feeling its going to be a dodgy sensor or something similar which would be part of the system checks. 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE
