I've had the car for nearly a month now and the weather has not been good. On two occassions - the first in the rain and the second after washing the car, my front sensors have gone crazy and have been flat lining. After ten minutes or so, after leaving the car and then re-starting it, the problems seems to resolve itself. This obviously seems to be linked to water interfering with the sensor somehow. Apparently Mercedes have the same problems with their sensors. Anyone else experienced the same problem??

Yes phil, the rear ones on my commercial and both sets on my car do this in heavy rain. Just causes you to be more careful and have a proper look !! 2009 Grey HSE Auto

Mine goes banzai in heavy rain too.

I once had the front sensor going mad in warm weather and found a massive splatted insect on one of the sensors.....

And I've also had the same problem. Mine was worse when it wasn't actually raining, just when a lot of water around... Then it fixes itself, so I've not bothered taking it in to the dealer. Freelander 2 TD4 HSE auto Tonga Green/Alpaca

mine have been doing this since day one of ownership

I have had it into the dealer virtually every month since i bought it in march 07

I have had new sensors, module and on my last visit they seem to have cured it, nearly i have had it happen a couple of time since

It is due to water getting into the sensor connectors and corroding them  Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
