Any thoughts on these

Had a day off today so went to source some new tyres which are long overdue! Finally decided on Michelin latitude sport 3. My local ATS had a 25% discount on michelins and pirellis. Michelins have come in at £483 for all four which I thought was ok, plus Michelin are giving back£75 in a fuel voucher until end of December! Very Happy

Tyres are now on order(235, 55, 19) and will be fitted next week. Anyone had any experience with these? Just wondering what they will be like in snow and ice etc. I have always fit pirelli's but theseseemed a very good deal. Mr. Green

Which load rating have you gone for? I can't find the latitudes with 105 v rating.

ATS are quoting silly money for the 101v's which are no good for FL2. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

I have Latitude Sports on mine and paid £114 each (including fitting) at ATS.

Not sure if I have done the right thing as I hear they are not good in snow but will see when the cold stuff finally hits.

They are very quiet though and great handling in the dry / wet. I dont do any major off roading but as yet I havent got stuck on the farm tracks when shooting.

Hi Mav, as far as I am aware, they are 105v rated. The fitter specifically asked me and checked himself before ordering. I will double check before they go on. Hoping I've made the right decision going for these tyres, as I said have always stuck with the Pirelli scorpions but went for these on recommendations.

Are you on 235 55 19's? If so, I can't find that price anywhere on line for Michelin Lattitude Sports.

How did you rate the Pirelli Scorpion Verdes? Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

PJBNET, which tyres did you change over from for the latitudes? Was wondering if it was the Pirellis, be good to get your comparison verdict.

Thanks

Hi Mav, yes they are 235-55-R19, I thought the price quoted was very good, the verdes came in at £515. Always been happy with the Pirelli's, decent mileage out of them and very good grip in all conditions. Very even tyre wear too. Seems that the latitudes are more of a road tyre than AT. Maybe I should have stuck to what I know with the verdes.

I had Lattitude sports on the 20's and they were very good to be fair. I wad buy the. Again, but I can't find any at the pricing you mention.

Are you buying 101 or 105 load rating? 101's are not right for FL2. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Hi Mav, 105 rating was definitely ordered but I will ring them up when I get a chance to confirm as you have me worried now!.

ATS have a deal on at the moment where you buy 3 tyres and get 4 th free, maybe that's why you can't find them online. They also seem good at price matching. Another bonus from Michelin is they are giving me back £75 in a fuel voucher but I think this is only run through ATS.

Matt

Let me know how you get on Mav, so I know there not just telling me they are the correct tyre when really they aren't.

Tyres are being sent from the continent that is why there is a delay getting them fitted.

Thanks

I had a good chat with ATS, and they told me this buy 4 and get 1 free is only on tyres up to 18". Doesn't include 19" tyres.

So I thought sod it, I have gone to a friends tyre place and ordered 4 x Continental Cross Contact UHP's as originally fitted when new. Cost me £561 full fitted. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
