Voice Activation System - Notepad

Been immersing myself into the Voice Command System and came across a feature that's not mentioned anywhere called Notepad. This feature enables you to record up to 10 notes, list reminders etc. A useful tool if your stuck in traffic, long journey and need to remind yourself, record list or "to do" tasks.











As I'm discovering the Voice Command System has far more options available than is listed on the opening screen. For the full command functions available you can go into "settings" hard key and select "voice" soft key.



Once your in this screen you can scroll through the various systems controlled by the Voice Activation System and select the system you want to control and available commands which are many!









Just a hint for those who have Voice Command, if you find it a bit slow this is probably because you have "Voice Feedback" selected which really slows down the whole process as he/she will repeat your voice commands. If you deselect this feature it's quite fast and he/she only interrupts when clarification is requested. Setup/Voice/Preferences is the pathway then select "Voice Feedback" Off!

I knew about it, but in real life the system doesn't recognise my voice all the way to get the system to do anything

voice control is a waste of time with a LR Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I didnt know mine had it but it does and she could understand what I said too, and Id never met her before either, she wouldnt tell me her name though but Im working on it Cool Very Happy

done that a few times

but when as an example programing the satnav, with an address, when i get to the end and the things asked me 20 questions to get there, i tell it to start the route and it then gives up and resets back to the start, easier and quicker to program via the screen, even if it means pulling over Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Try tutorial on user one or two as apparently this changes the sensitivity of the voice recognition detection.
I find it really easy to use now as you can cut out steps by combining them, ie
"Phone, MessageBank". As you practice more it gets easier.
Make sure you have "voice feedback" off otherwise he/she will want to confirm every command.

I use mine frequently and cannot remember the last time I was misunderstood, no learning required either. As I'm Cornish with a very strong accent I have to admire the system for understanding me Smile
Also switched off 'feedback' to shorten the step.
