Jumped in the FL this morning , Started it up , put it into reverse (auto box) , gave it light throttle to get out of my drive and it didn't move . I had to put it back into park and then into reverse again and it worked as normal . This is the second time its happened.

Any ideas what the problem could be ? I did a search but couldn't find anything related .

Possibility that the cable adjustment is out, looking down from under the bonnet there is an indicator that should point to Park when the selector is in 'P', likewise in neutral. Maybe the cable has stretched slightly over the years, just guessing but worth a look.

I had that happen a couple of times on my one - I think I was just too quick in putting it in reverse after/while starting before the computer said yes! Wouldn't rev up properly either. Taking that extra .2 of a second made all the difference! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
