2010 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Santorini Black
landy wouldnt turn off!

Were do i start got in car yesterday reversed off drive put into drive set off.
Slight clunk from back the tdc system failure comes up on dash so stop.
Went to turn car off wouldnt turn off pressing button. Then it gave me the key back out of the dash . Still running mind!
Eventually got it to stop but all lights on dash still lit up. Wouldnt do anything .
Ended up calling AA who ended up disconnecting battery to get it to shutdown. Put key back in wouldnt crank over jyst dead. Finally got it to start so he followed me to land rover dealer all the way there light on dash saying tdc system fault but drove fine. Turned it off then started 1st push of button and all back to normal no fault everything working as it should. Land rover to day checked it and all they can say is egr valve sticking? Couldthis cause it?

no,egr valve wont cause this,more like body control unit software problem

Throttle valve not receiving a close command and staying open along with mechanical pumps continuing to supply fuel and the ecu's in a frozen state giving a steady tick over? Sorted by a full reboot. Typical confused computer system.
