Slovenia 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Galway Green
How to ...

I am new owner of Freelander 2 (2011); can not find in manuals, so I ask for:

1. How to change display language?

2. How to change from imperial to metric system on display?

3. How to enable / disable headlamp washer or set wash time? Too long is now.

4. How to disable automatic door lock when start driving?

5. How to disable automatic mirror closed when lock car?

6. How to set horn on time on active alarm or how to deactivate - disable it?

If it done or function only with tester or diagnose tools, please remarks with whick one WORKED to set these functions?

Remarks: have vehicle model with steering wheel WITHOUT joystick knob for entrance in display mode menu; have only radio MODE knob.

Regards and many thanks for all answers.

Think I have old version, but with product date 01/2011. Italian market. Engine Ford 110 kW diesel.

Thanks for all, but nothing help Big Cry

For some things I will try to put out the fuse (washer) and I need info about programmer, tester of soft (from china supplier) which one have this dealer functions.

For horn: this model have connected warning alert and alarm on horn and it make great (alarm) noise if I (for example) do not fully closed the door or tailgate. In the middle of the night, all my neighbours are Shocked , Evil or Very Mad pay attention and want to Banging Head me. Hope have separate fuse for it.

I do not believe how many fuses have this car (on 3 places).

Also have another one buzzer attached on rear fuse box.
Can anyone know for what is it?
Maybe alcotester or angry detector alert?
Must be one important device connected.

speedo reading should have MPH round the outside and KPH on the inside.

all we used to do in Germany when seeing road signs etc was a quick calculation in our head

30MPH - 50KPH
50MPH - 80KPH
60MPH - 100KPH
75MPH - 120KPH
80MPH - 130KPH (recommended limit on autobahn)
150MPH - 240KPH (and yes I hit this a few times on the autobahns Very Happy )

If you dont have a honk when trying to lock the car with a door not shut properly, to disable that function would mean you would go off and leave the car insecure and someone might easily be able to steal the car or some of its contents so its not worth even trying to think how to disable it.
Doesnt take a moment to check all the doors are closed before you lock it does it, unless one is extremely lazy of the cant be bothered attitude.

You have a MY14, so you can change the digital readout via the steering wheel menu button. You cannot change the reading on the analogue dial, which, if it's like mine, only reads in mph. Easy things to remember - 50mph = 80 k, so 100 mph = 160k. 70 mph = roughly 120 k. Town speed limits are usually around 30mph equivalent. Basically you have to get used to using the digital kph readout. The cruise control is a useful help, particularly in France, where they have got very hot on speed limits. Remember also that the motorway limit is lower when it rains. Have a good hol! Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease

Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France

Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

Using the menu was straightforward you can set one of the "Trips" to Metric and all distances are then in Km, fuel consumption in Ltr/100Km, distance to empty in Km and most importantly the Digital speed display on the centre of the panel reads in Km/Hr, you can also set the speed alarm warning at Km/Hr which I found useful in France. MY14 TD4 manual XS Orkney grey.
