Ps. I only have the front skirt (don't want the others), yep it's from LR, and yep it massively changes your approach angle but looks way way better so it is worth it. The grill was painted Santorini black and definitely intend to do the D pillar the same.

I'd recommend you take them to a good body shop, or even a LR Authorised Repairer, as I did, and get them do it properly. Especially if your painting black and want the finish as good as mine.

I spoke to the repair shop about getting my d pillar painted and the guy recommended not to do it because once it is sanded and painted the imperfections of the pillar plastic would become more noticeable, ie the plastic isn't 100% flat and would resemble a warped mirror (to try and articulate this is difficult). When I look at the d pillar plastic I can see what he means by it not being perfectly shaped and I worry it would accentuate it. Is this noticable on yours? 2011 black FL2

Absolutely not!
Does this look like it has imperfections?

I went to an LR Authorised repairer whom does all the work on LR dealers vehicles including painting all their bumpers, moulds etc on their showroom new vehicles.

I suggest you find a better body shop whom are confident in doing this type of work.

They also did my front styling bar which you can see is perfect!

As I am the founder of coded D pillars I would like to add that the dealers painted mine from new before the car was registered. She will be two years old in March and they are perfect.
