I don't think it looks that bad with the roof up either. However I will reserve proper judgement until after I have seen one in the flesh. It looks like an Audi A3 convertible on a mild dose of steroids IMO.

If the convertible you saw was a black Audi A4 heading to wards Scotland on the M6 on the weekend of the England Scotland 6 nations match in 2012, it was me. I had to drive a few miles to let the snow blow off the roof and and to warm the roof up, but it was fine at 70 mph with the air deflector up, so no draughts. Heating on high, hat and coat on, warmth no problem. Why? Because it was a nice day and I could. I enjoy being outdoors and can deal with the cold. How many Morgan's do you see with the roof up? Those guys just get wet and wear a flying jacket. The evoque convertible looks like it has very little room in the back seats, unless the one I saw had the front seats all the way back. I won't be getting one, as there is no room for the sprog in the back, or more importantly, mountain bikes. Gav. |

No, it was a BMW going through a Pennine village. Saw something similar last week - a convoy of three convertible BMWs, two top down and one sensible. (Well, not entirely sensible - he still bought a convertible BM!) Again, snow on the ground and temperature around freezing.
Living up in the Pennines I get to spend many hours out in sub-zero temperatures and snow, and will quite happily walk for hours in the snow. But that's properly outdoors - in the car, no thanks! |
