buzz and whistle combo

Help!

I'm new to the forum. I picked up a secondhand FL2 last week, and it has an intermittent buzzing which sounds like it's under the passenger side dashboard. It also has an intermittent slight whistle when putting your foot down, over 2000 revs. I thought that this would most likely be the turbo.

I've searched the forum and tried a few things for the buzzing which didn't work (screw under LHS indicator, mirror and general trim).

The bizarre thing is that they seem to be linked. If the dash gets a bit buzzy, then the whistle starts to appear.

They are both fairly subtle, and I could live with them, but I'd rather fix them.

I did take it back to the dealership, but of course neither noise was there when we took it for a test spin. The whistle only happens when the engine is warm.

Any help appreciated.

Steve

Doesn't matter if the noises were there or not, you've only had a week! Take it back.

I'd still be interested to know if anyone has any ideas what the problem is. You know what dealers are like with intermittent faults....

More of a question than an answer, i know there's a lot of electronics under the passenger dash but are there any relays under there that controls /influences the turbo/engine management?

I think we need more info, and I would not automatically assume the two issues are linked.

When you hear the turbo means the engine put out quite some torque so subtle (or not) vibrations appear.
As for the buzz, check the center console laterals plastic covers, eventually see if those center screws towards the feet are tightened.
