Thanks for that - will take a look. My wife did a mindfulness course after struggling after the birth of our first child so am aware of the techniques although haven't tried it. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Santorini Black

Only just seen this thread (off work sick and doing a bit of a trawl!!), hope you are doing ok!!

Sometime there can be reasons, lifestyle, job, things you are just not happy with and its a case of puffing up your chest and making some decisions for YOU. For me, it was my job, but I'd put it to one side and carried on.....just not realising the effect it was having.

Mainly it can just be that unexplained, chemical imbalance that nobody can put a finger on!! Counselling can be a good way of being truly open with someone you don't know, to discuss all avenues of possible causes. The internet can be a scary place when looking things up, so don't. Just do things that make you smile, try some exercise, get some sun, look after yourself.

Think of depression as a broken Land Rover......you know theres an issue but you just can't quick work out whats up Whistle but when you do and its all fixed, life is good again!

Thanks Smile I like the analogy Smile

Things are feeling strangely good now that the meds seem to be working. Seeing doc again tomorrow so will discuss where to go from here.

It is safe to say my lifestyle isn't helping - I stay at home to look after my 2 young daughters. A stunningly rewarding thing but also massively draining, frustrating and often thankless. Plus it is more than full time. However one is about to start school next year which will ease things a little.

Feeling good though, which I haven't felt for a long time. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

Quick update. Things are still feeling pretty decent and my moods have totally levelled out with no dark spiralling thoughts which is lovely.

More appts with the doc over the coming weeks and months plus an assessment for Autism spectrum disorder but all of that is good.

Thanks everyone. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

Thought I'd update this as things have moved on a bit since the last post.

Still on the same meds and feeling ok but the anxiety has crept back in which is not so good. I have just been to my first self help appointment which was very helpful, if emotionally exhausting. It would seem the can of worms we have opened contains many more such cans.

I have also been formally diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum, specifically the Aspergers area which goes a long way to explaining things.

As the lady I saw today said, it would seem I am in the process of taking the first few steps to a long but hopefully positive journey.

Thanks again all. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
