site sponsor bellautos does a reprogramable unit, they can post the unit to you and you download the FL2 software, then email it back, the unit then upload the tuned sofeware and you can also reset it back to standard when you take the car into the dealers

I have one of these Powerbox add on units fitted and I'm most impressed with it. There is a vast increase in acceleration which is handy for overtaking, More MPG if you drive sensibly. It took me around 20 -30 mins to install. Very Happy

I'm sure if you buy him a bag of chips your old man will let you Laughing

On turbo'd vehicles a chip makes a huge difference and exactly as flycop has posted you will see a nice power increase providing a lump of overtaking grunt and when driving it the same way as before you are most likely going to see better fuel consumption figures Thumbs Up

A bit closer to home for you there is an Australian homegrown company called Powerchips which I know of from my Audi tuning days. There weren't so many people that I knew using them, but they seemed to be a bit like the UK's Superchips in that they cater for many vehicles and they have a very good website and very quickly return dyno chart info etc upon request.
In addition I never heard of any complaints from there customers regarding product or service.

What Bellautos offer better though is the possibility for you to install the software and switch the program on and off without leaving your garage.

What ever route you go you will definately be happy with the results Thumbs Up [/url] Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!

Hi, just a question: are you sure the automatic gearbox will agree the extra torque?

This gearbox is similar to the XTRAIL gearbox (AISIN made in Japan ) and the nissan XTRAIL automatic is only delivred with à 150 HP engine ,the manual can be have 2 powers: 150 and 173 hp.

the torque is higher on the TD4 than the 6 cylinder. Freelander 2 TD4 SE AUTO

I came across this UK based company

http://www.dieseltuner.co.uk/

The figures seem impressing - 200ps/520Nm
(on a FL2 2.2TD4 6GAutomatic)

Has anyone used there chips?
Do you find them effective?

£295 for 200bhp and 520Nm, how cheap is that? what's the catch?

Hi Backslash,
sorry about the delay in replying, I was not on the site yesterday. The unit cost £460 which is expensive but I had one fitted to my FL1 which gave excelent results. The PSI box is supposed to one of the best available and you can take it off the car and sell it on when you change vehicle types and reduce the cost of replacement. Very Happy

what to do?...

Actually there are two companies supllying these figures

www.ecopowergroup.co.uk - for 595.- GBP + local tax
this one uses only software uplode in the car's ECU

and

http://www.dieseltuner.co.uk/ - for 295. GBP
which uses a detachable device.

I am confused. Two different approaches delivering same results.
Why doesn't Landrover supply anyone of these?

I'm sure we had someone on here a while ago who said that they do, it's standard pratice for dealers to for all major car brands in their country to offer upgrades like these, and warranty them. Can't remember, but I think it might be in Holland

Further more my previous posts..

Which type of chip tuning do you find more reliable - ad-on unit or ECU re-map?

All comments are welcome!

rmbillington I think one of the Dutch guys said he had a power upgraded version form the dealer, and I think I have said previously many importers and dealers happily chip tune vehicles from new and offer the standard warranty.

My local Audi dealer in Holland was even prepared to part exchange and sell an Audi S3 that had been modified to 430bhp. Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!
