245/60 or 255/60 R18 for Winter ?

Hi,

I need to choose my winter tyres.
The wheel will be a 8x18 ET43.
I live in the Alps.

I have seen the Cooper Weathermaster WSC and the Nokian WR suv 3.

I have run Michelin Latitude alpin in 235/65R17 for 4 years which were very good.

Right now I am not sure of the size to choose: 245 or 255 ? Nokian or Cooper ?

What do you think ?

General rule for winter tyres is for a narrower tread width.

Nokian x far. Thumbs Up FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

Thank you Ronp !

Finally I have ordered today the Fl2 genuine glossy black 17" wheels that were on the bay.

The aftermarket 18" were nice but with less tires choice.

So, I need to find a good set of 235/65 r17 winter tires.

As you said Nokian look good but look a bit too sporty IMO.

I have seen the Blizzak DM-V1 but the "R" speed ratîng makes me a bit afraid.
