Xenon Headloights

Hi All, My Metropolis has the xenon headlights, are they adaptive and if so in what way?
just following up on something I read earlier.
In my old merc they turned corners, high beam came on as required and dipped at
approaching traffic etc, Havn't noticed anything like that on the metro- am I doing something wrong?-setting wise. Question Hit it he said, Hit it!--So I hit it, then he hit me---Doh!

I'm not aware that they are adaptive. I've certainly never seen anything to indicate that they are.

Thanks for that, I didn't think they were, having had the experience with the Merc. Hit it he said, Hit it!--So I hit it, then he hit me---Doh!

They are mentioned on page 75 of the manual at https://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/c...oupId=1655

So Adaptive headlights are either present or not?
There is no activation form menu on set-up- is that right?
in my merc it could be turned on or off.
Thanks for info. Hit it he said, Hit it!--So I hit it, then he hit me---Doh!

Yes you could order adaptive lighting as an option but i doubt any FL2 had them put on as part of the standard equipment list??

That's fine, just thought that being the run out model, the Metro would have had these as standard.
no worries, lights as are, are great.
Thanks for the replies. Hit it he said, Hit it!--So I hit it, then he hit me---Doh!

i think I have it as I get the AFS light on system check and it is mentioned on the handbook. Not noticed any difference when driving though.

Note that mine is 2007 but I have a light (headlamp) pointing straight up with a double arrow underneath.

My 09 Hse had adaptive headlights

Never really noticed the benefit, though driving through housing estates you occasionally saw the beam moving

My '14 HSE LUX doesn't have them as they were dropped for the spec, but I know notice the difference between them both, adaptive were better Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

What would be more useful would be adaptive cruise control.

I think I have adaptive lighting but it doesn't appear to work.
Is there any way of telling from the light fixture if you have Adaptive Lighting?
I have the same light on the instrument panel but no fuse in the adaptive light socket. FL2 HSE 2.2 TD4 MY07 Sumatra Black
