Mine was left for a month at the airport last winter and was fine. I didn't have the break on and turned all switches off. |

If you are leaving a vehicle for that length of time don't put the handbrake on whether it is electronic or not. Ensure it is supported with chocks and you could also leave it in gear if it a manual, which I do all the time. |

The handbrake comes on automatically when I stop and turn off the ignition...can you disable this? |

Yuuup! - With car stopped and engine running, press and hold down the handbrake switch, turn off engine, hold switch down for another 2 secs. (Handbook P76 for a 2014 model) |
