Storing 2013 FL2 for 3 months

I wish to store my FL2 for 3 months. Last time I left it for just 3 weeks and the electronic handbrake bonded to the rear discs which had to be replaced under warranty!

Any suggestions?

I will get a someone to use the car once a week.
or
I will disconnect the battery and that's it, of course try to leave the car under a roof or closed car park so it does not get exposed to the weather Freelander 2 GS 59 plate about 35k miles (gone)

Mine was left for a month at the airport last winter and was fine. I didn't have the break on and turned all switches off.

If you are leaving a vehicle for that length of time don't put the handbrake on whether it is electronic or not. Ensure it is supported with chocks and you could also leave it in gear if it a manual, which I do all the time.

I quite often dont use mine for a few weeks its generally ok and i leave the electronic handbrake off and wheel chocked but in gear.
Its inside my garage though.
You can get a problem if its left for too long where the systems will shutdown totally and you cant open the car with the fob, in that case you have to open the car manually with the emergency key at the front passenger door then get in and to disable the alarm put the fob to the ignition.
SO make sure where you park you can still open the nearside front door!

The handbrake comes on automatically when I stop and turn off the ignition...can you disable this?

Yuuup! - With car stopped and engine running, press and hold down the handbrake switch, turn off engine, hold switch down for another 2 secs. (Handbook P76 for a 2014 model)
