No i havent yet done nothing. I just bought whole new handle whit that switch, and i will take fotos from it to illustrate how it looks inside. MAYBE i will just cut the old handle one from near of the bolts location and then i will manage to get closer look[/list]

Here is some photos of the new tailgate handle whit switch, if this will help all others.

i think i have 2 ways to get old of.

1. Buy dremel and try to cut bolts.
2. cut the old tailgate handle to pieces, near the bolts.

As you can see in the pictures there is photo of the microswitch how it looks like its in there, those 2 grey clips may be the only ones which will hold it

What comes to wiring that goes to switch, its looks like it have to be weld, not plug and play if u have to just replace only switch.

When I replaced mine two of the bolts were seized up so I ended up getting the handle off leaving the bolts in place, being very careful! Then I got some grips onto the nuts and bolts and a with a few twists they sheared off. Be brave and very careful and all will be fine. Good luck.

So did you just cut the plastic handle outside?

I remember that I ended up breaking the plastic that holds the bolts but cannot remember how I did it, sorry. I think you are just going to have to commit to it and take care not to do any damage. I was able to remove all nuts but two and that gave me enough room to get at the bolts and their fixings. The handle came off in one piece, I didn't cut it up, although I was prepared to do this as a last resort.

I think I used these on the inside nuts and moved the handle with the other hand enough to fatigue the plastic that holds the bolts to failure. I have got quite a strong grip

here is photos, i needed to broke tailgate to get acces to bolts, and then i drilled it.

finaly ive got new tailgate whit working switch! easy job!

But why the microswitch didnt work, i didnt find any reason? no corrosion as you see last pictures!

Few tips!
if you choose to not brake tailgate to peaces, i suggest to buy EXTRA LONG 2mm, 3mm, 4mm drills, and drill them away. you cant reach bolts whit normal drills from inside tailgate, as seen on previous pictures that there is not much spaca.
