South Africa 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 S Auto Ipanema Sand
Please identify this part


Hi guys. I need help identifying this part (see end of stick). Spent the day driving around the kruger park today and noticed a distinct rattling / dry bearing-like noise coming from the part shown. There is a hose directly beneath it that show signs of greae/oil buildup.

What are the implications of the symptoms described above?

Yes looks like a throttle body. do a search on it or start here http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic20262-15.html

assuming it's broken they cost about GBP100 and take about an hour to fit. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto
