transmission fault reduced traction

Hi All,
After a crap week I drive home to get the dreaded "transmission fault reduced traction" message Big Cry

Went back to the car later and the message had gone but am I looking at a new Haldex or Rear Diff?

I'll phone the dealership in the morning as I'm still under warranty but am I ok to drive it?

I know the Haldex and Rear Diff have been done to death but just looking for some friendly advice before I ring the dealership.

It's only 3 years old and done 32,000 miles.

Thanks in advance of any replies. Bow down

Glyn Jones.

Wouldnt go amiss to try and check the oil levels before you go off to the dealers??
As its under warranty and the message isnt there all the time then you should be ok the drive it there I should think, reduced traction is after all an emergency get you home measure if it does develop a fault?

Dealership asked me to phone Land Rover Assist. They came out and think it's the Haldex pump.

It's going in on Tuesday and they are arranging a courtesy car through Thrifty.

Dealers prefer things this way, they don't have to worry about loan cars and their investigative work is effectively pre-authorised by LR assist. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

Well, got the news today. As expected it needs a new haldex pump but all under warranty Thumbs Up

Are the replacement parts different or can I expect this to happen again later on?

Hi glynjones,

I'm a little bit worried about this haldex pump replacement. I think there is a technical bulletin for a precise VIN series. Can you tell us le last 6 numbers of your VIN ?

Many thanks
