it is not ending... I am heaving fun with my Freelander, but after I thought the problems are over, something new troubles me.

I thought the oil comes from to much oil in the differential. But still I got massive oil drops coming from under my Freelander. And since 2 weeks, they come from behind the left rear wheel. Most of the time only one or two drops, but two times there was little pool of oil - only on the left side. It comes out of the wheelhouse.

Does someone has any glue what it could be?

Driving on the Autobahn, then after 2 hours of parking:

I'd be checking your rear left shock absorber to see if the seal has blown and the oil is running down the inside of the plastic shield. Do you notice any difference in ride? Td4 XS manual, Orkney Grey, MY2014

Correct me if I'm wrong but the breather for the differential is on top of the housing and assuming this it would appear that oil is being ejected from this breather and lining the underside of your fl2 from the differential back especially at highway speeds and when you stop this oil has a chance to drop!
I would suggest you take it back and get them to check the oil level, it's obviously been over filled. MY15

Yes, the roadholding is a little bit different to a Porsche....
Just kidding, forgive me. I didn't recognize a deterioration, but will check the shock absorber.

That is also my theory. But why only on the left side? And could it be that much over filled, that after two month and a few thousand kilometers it is still leaking?

I understand... It is leaking on the exhaust system and then it finds its way.

No, you've got it wrong...
Stuartc meant that the overfilled oil is traveling up through the breather hose and then gets out on its end.

Got it (finally ). Thats what my garage was thinking after I was there today for a short check. They want to inform themselves and next week they will look after it.

Seems to be standard after a low level repair and refill! Mine was the same, I used brake cleaner to remove all traces of oil from the outside of the diff case; no further oil drops. FL2 Auto 2009 Galway Green
