Like rats leaving a sinking ship!

Laughing Only joking but I've just waved goodbye to my Freely. Sold it on this site (donation made) so no doubt I will be replaced on here by the new owner, Andy. Like the Doc, I'll still lurk around but probably most of my posts will be in the spaniel section. Mr. Green
Looking for an Evoque so already joined babyRR and hopefully will be posting on there as an owner before too long but I should have looked sooner I think - I totally underestimated how quick my FL2 would sell and how hard it would be to find an Evoque - they're selling like hot cakes!
Going to the Peak District in a few weeks time with the wife and dog for a week and was really looking forward to going in the FL2 again - you see hundreds of FL2's up there - it must be their natural habitat. A bit like white Evoques in Essex. Whistle Going to have to get my finger out or we'll be going in the Golf. Sad

Good luck in the search for an Evoque Steve , we pick our up tomorrow teatime so emptying all the bits out of the FL2 , walked to the doctors this morning and passed 3 Evoques parked up , its funny never noticed them when we wern't looking for one .
The ones I viewed at the weekend were all staff cars put up for sale as the dealer was low on stock .

Regards

Julian

Swopped our FL2 last night to a 15 plate Evoque Pure Tech Auto in Corris Grey/ Pan Roof/Privacy 1550 mls , 1st time driven auto for many yrs but glad we changed from manual .

It was a 60 odd round trip to pick it up from Copley Landrover Halifax , I have bought from them twice and find them helpful , little disapointed when I got home to find the external mirrors didn't fold in on locking like our previous FL2's did .
I believe its a dealer option to enable it .
Had much pleasure from our 6 FL2's since 2001 but wife fancied an Evoque , she uses the car every day , hopefully it will be as capable dealing with any snowy conditions that the weather may bring this winter .

Is it the same as the FL2 where.........

Folding
To fold the mirrors back press both left and
right buttons at the same time. To unfold the
mirrors, press both left and right buttons
again.

Automatic folding
The mirrors can be configured by
your land Rover Dealer/Authorised
repairer to automatically fold when
the vehicle is locked, and unfold when it is
unlocked.
Note: If the mirrors were folded using the
switches, they will not unfold when the vehicle
is unlocked.

You may just need to unfold with the buttons to reset the system?

I've got them on mine. Ner Ner
After a 170 mile round trip today to Guy Salmon in Northampton, I decided on a black 2012 SD4 Dynamic Lux auto with privacy glass. They've got to service, mot and prep it. A few bits to be done - electric tailgate opening but not closing, order a new parcel shelf and rear tailgate seal (slight rip) and replace the puncture kit with a proper wheel and jack etc and then they are delivering it to me next Friday morning just in time for us to go away on Friday evening to the Peak District for a week.

Why did you downsize? With your 20" drug dealer alloys you will not be able to have a matching spare as there is not enough space. Shadow chrome finish on them looks nice Thumbs Up MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Just fancied having a car that was still being made. Whistle
Surely it doesn't matter on the size of the wheel - 18, 19 or 20's still have the same outside circumference so should all fit in the well. Anyway, I've been promised a 'full size' spare so it'll be interesting to see what I get.

Fits in the wheel wheel ok but the width on a 245 tyre is the issue

A 'full size' spare doesn't necessarily mean an identical to what you have, a 17" wheel as opposed to a space saver can be a full sized spare.
With the number of punctures these days and the danger in changing a wheel, is it really worth dragging a spare around?

Nice motor, enjoy Thumbs Up
