Can anyone tell me if the Denso satnav has a back up battery and how to replace it. Mine works perfectly and I have updated it to the latest maps but when a destination is set it is forgotten when the car is switched off. This is not a problem on a short run but on a long drive if I stop for fuel or a break I then have to reset the destination in the satnav.

I thought this was normal also as I have to re-enter the destination if I stop the engine for a break? |

That is not the case on my MY10 HSE. Also remembers personal settings, Home etc. I guess there must be a back up battery somewhere! 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Mine remembers general settings, language etc as it was Italian when I first got it, intermittently remembers my head up preference but sometimes reverts to North up but always forgets my destination when the car is stopped. Dartman the one says his always remembers destination. Every sat nav I have used till now has remembered the destination when switched off and I do find it annoying when I am on a long run, Italy to UK, stop for fuel and have to re-enter destination and choose which of 3 routes to use.
