yeh just a straight cut into the wires at the back of the standard boot light, took me about 10 mins to do the lot.

Yes would appreciate the link. Did you use the self adhesive tape to fix the light? I have already replaced the boot light with a canbus compatable LED, you say there was nothing else to do other than splice into the wiring? |

I didn't use a canbus compatible strip as far as I remember, so I assumed the boot light wasn't part of the bus.

you could always fit the other strip under the bonnet, I think they are waterproof so should be ok when you turn your FL2 into a boat next time |

i like the idea of those led lights in the boot, the current one in mine is useless to be fair.

I was thinking off fitting the spare one under the bonnet Any ideas on power take off , I shall I go direct to the battery with a fuse of course 2008 xs Snorkel raised axle/gearbox breathers Mantec tank guard Cb radio Blanked EGR Sump guard Scratches Snolkle |

I'm no sparky, but I would have thought taking a feed off the headlight switched bt the bonnet latch would be possible so it is then controlled by the dash switch but only on when the bonnet is open |

Why not save yourself a fortune and fit one of these - you can use the torch to probe the unlit boot areas!!
