2012 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Santorini Black

Freelander 2 model year

Ok, may be a silly question but....how do I determine the model year (or year of manufacture?) of my FL2 (image attached) - it's on a 12 plate? PFJones website has different towbars/electrics for later 2012 models

Thanks Westville. Was speaking to PFJones earlier today and they were asking "is an early or late 2012 model?". Is there a way of looking up the chassis number?

What do you mean - "looking up chassis number" do you mean with Land Rover to see what spec it is?
If so the answer is yes - go to ToPIX and register as an ordinary mortal who owns one and then browse through the options

Yes, if I have the chassis number is there a site where I can enter that and it'll tell me the manufacture details etc. Will give your suggestion a whirl. Thanks

The 10th character (a letter) from the left in your VIN is the MY identifier...

interesting mine is a 2013 model then despite being on a 62 plate

I believe the model year runs from September to September so, as a very rough illustration, cars registered between:

I say it is a rough guide as mine, registered in November 13 (63) is an MY13 (Older stock with a LR registration) whereas my last car registered in November 2009 (59) was an MY10 car.
