I've got Memory Maps V4 installed on the PC and linked up to my PDA when synchronized. I have all the UK maps and simply transfer the appropriate section at a time, eg. I send the Lake District map to my PDA when going down there rather than the whole of the UK (which is many many GBs). I bought one of these to mount the PDA securely on to my bike's handlebars. Finally, I downloaded GPSGate (paid a very small fee) to use the GPS signal from my TomTom receiver et voila I've got full Ordnance Survey maps (with my current location) on the go. It can also record all my routes so I can do them again or analyse distance/time etc. I also decided to get a second battery for the PDA and have it fully charged in your backpack as a spare as the device tends to use a fair whack of power when connected with GPS device and constantly running a programme. Any questions PM me "CY from DISCO3" Discovery 3 TDV6 SE |
