Yes, rack and bikes are part of the towbar load. I never towed with mine - the bar was only there to carry the bike rack Gone... 2013 XS TD4 Manual Firenze Red

I have the same Cycle rack, and when the bikes are on board, towing isnt very practical, as your turning circle can be limited by the cycles |

I don't suppose it has some sort of clamp to fit a removable swan neck tow bar does it? FL2 HSE Lux 2011 SD4 Gallway Green.

Sorry Cclr, it is suitable for a fixed towbar as the base plate for the sandwiches between the towbar and the towball (with extended bolts that come as part of this kit). Gone... 2013 XS TD4 Manual Firenze Red

Can you tell me how the carrier is added and removed once the mounting is fixed to the tow bar. Does it just slot in or are tools required. Thanks. |

Sorry for slow reply. Rack has precision pins at the bottom that slot into the sockets in the adapter plate (part of the kit) which is permanently bolted between tow bar and tow ball (extended bolts supplied). Then you tighten the stabilising clamp plate with box spanner provided.
