United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Fuji White
Goodyear wrangler vs goodyear efficientgrip suv

Hello all,
on my Freelander 2 I have 2 Goodyear wrangler all weather on the back and 2 Goodyear efficientgrip suv on the front. I have a full size wrangler brand new as spare tyre

My question is: should I buy 1 wrangler and move one efficientgrip as spare tyre, then sell the efficientgrip on eBay as they are nearly new?

any thoughts Freelander 2 GS 59 plate about 35k miles (gone)
Freelander 2 GS 60 plate MY11 about 28k miles (gone)
Freelander 2 GS 13 plate

The fairly subtle difference between Wrangler and "Efficient Grip" Goodyears was covered on this thread...http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic18503.html
The Efficient Grip is really a summer tyre although still rated as M&S (Mud and Snow). The Wrangler Wrangler HP is more an all season tyre - so it is slightly better in the wet and snow and also slightly better off road in my experience. So not a lot in it - however I would not have different tyres on the car as there must be some effect on handling in extreme situations. So I would go for HP all round with an Efficient grip as a spare.
