Spare wheel foam holder

Just a quick one? Seen on the duckworth parts section someone wanted a price on spare wheel foam holder, so my question is should there be one under the spare?

Could someone post a pic so I can see if it's worth getting it.

Ah right. Think I'm missing that and the tools, what should be there.

Any pics would be appreciated.

The earlier models had a foam unit as part of the spare wheel setup. Later ones do not have this. instead there is an extra bolt to position the jack. I think I read on here that if you buy a kit from an LR dealer you still get the foam item, but if factory fitted you don't. My MY2007 had it, my MY 2013 doesn't. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

Shows what block of polyfoam looks like. I'd rather fill the space with something more useful like a set of waterproofs or a towrope!

Funnily enough I got a proper matching alloy spare wheel even though I never asked for one. Thumbs Up
No foam inserts at all.

That's pretty much what I did. Massive tow rope etc and I hi viz bomber jacket über there. I did wonder where the locking wheel nut was supposed to go. It's wedged in one of the spare wheel nut holes. Thumbs Up 2010 HSE SD4 in Santorini black

I have one of these full size wheel well infills in my garage. It was fitted in my HSE Lux which was supplied with the gunk & pump mobility system instead of a spare wheel. It completely fills the wheel well and provides support for the boot floor. First job having collected my car from the dealer was to fit a full size spare and tool kit.

My last FL2 was sold on with a much smaller foam base which was just big enough to contain a gunk & pump kit. That one needed a spare wheel retaining bolt to hold it in place and support the boot floor.

Locking wheel nut key - on the early models there is a slot in the foam insert for it. I was told several times by servicing dealers that they couldn't find it. There is also a pocket in the glove compartment, which I understand is now its official living space.
As regards spare wheels, mine (MY13) came with one. It's an ex demonstrator, but the sales lady told me that they always order them anyway. That may be because we're a bit "rural" out here (it was the Peterborough dealer)! Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
