The chap repeatedly claimed the car kept "stalling" on him, and the dealership refused an exchange. So he totalled the car outside the dealership.

I don't suppose he was getting confused with "stop/start"? Expensive mistake if so.....!!

I used to work in Bracknell next door to the BMW UK HQ. Several times I saw someone standing on the roundabout with a placard saying things like "my BMW is a lemon" etc. We used to watch them out the window.
