United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Loire Blue

I was looking at trading my freelander in next year for the revised 2016 ford ranger as you can select 2 wheel drive only , 4 wheel drive low and high. Towing limit is also good.

You may change your mind after you drive one if quality, drive experience are important to you. Comparing to the Freelander 2? There is no comparison, your driving a truck with leaf springs. I'm not being negative, I liked the idea of owning a nice ute, but after driving a couple, Ford, Isuzu, Toyota I decided I couldn't. MY15

In Australia, this segment, Ute, is one of the fasting growing segment of vehicle sales, good enough reason for me to avoid!
After looking at a couple I realised that for the amount of times I'd actually use the available carrying facility - which actually in dual cab configuration is pretty useless and you still have to load long loads on the roof, which I already do in the Freelander 2, I might as well have something as comfortable and enjoyable as the Fl2. Believe me, rear lead springs and ladder chassis???? Do I need to say any more!!! And we really don't have snow, ice, slippery circumstances as you guys do! MY15

It seems to me that cars are getting so complex now and covered in sensors and gizmos (to meet the increasingly stringent emissions rules) which often give conflicting or misleading error codes (happened to my FL2 last week). There must be some mileage in keeping the older and simpler cars especially if you don't do the mileage. The alternative will be that you don't keep a car without a warranty. Anyone for an air cooled VW Beetle? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

No such thing as a simple car!
1 question, was the exhaust sensor issue DPF related sensors? MY15

They changed sensor 1 and 2 on the exhaust, I think no3 is the DPF one. The dealer told me that they changed the first one as per the fault code but the issue was actually with no 2 so changed that one too. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Ok Thumbs Up I thought that there was one fore and aft DPF to measure differential. MY15
