Haha, beauty is in the eye of the beholder! (And I have at least a genuine LR colour) Laughing Thumbs Up
I'd prefer to use genuine parts where possible regardless but I'm still waiting for LR to sort this conundrum out!
Apparently their checking their stock atm. I feel there's been a big Censored up!
Will report back when I have an answer. MY15

You said you wouldn't tell!
To be fair, they are dam good copy. Real metal and everything.

What's the part number for those? And the price tag?

Is the pipe that slots over the exhausted angled slightly?

Come as a pair, normally $410 but as they were his last I got them for $300, bargain Whistle Laughing Rolling Eyes
Have seen on ebay cheaper.

Yes they curve down to outboard so sit slightly outboard to the stock

Update

Ok, I didn't expect this to turn into such a lengthy topic and have a twin outlet back box sitting in my second bedroom! Whistle

It would appear that all clamps in JLRA stock are the same as supplied to me and don't fit!

As of today JLRA have sent notification to JLR UK technical to be advised whether there is a supplier manufacturer problem, whether this be manufacture or packing. I'm hoping to find out in the next couple days.

Interestingly enough, the exact same issue has been experienced by another Forum Member in the UK whom I've spoken to and won't name unless he would like to add anything.

So if anyone is planning on going this route in AU or OS, I would suggest to hold off until this is resolved, if you wish to use the LR clamp which it is designed for.

On the positive side this gives me time to pretty up the back box by giving it a coat of black heat resistant paint.

Will advise when there's a resolution. MY15

EXHAUST CLAMP CORRECT PART NO ; LR015372

First of all, LR have advised that the Exhaust Clamp Part Number Specified in the schematic earlier in this thread is incorrect. The correct part number is LR015372.
The other part number is for a Range Rover Sport.
I have now got the correct clamp and can confirm that this one fits, it also clearly marked for a 60mm diameter pipe which is what the Freelander 2 diameter is.
It's important that this part number is quoted as if you go from the parts catalogue you will end up with the earlier part which myself and another forum member have experienced. Hopefully LR will change their catalogue numbers at some stage.
I'll post some pics of the part as soon as the site will allow me as I'm having troubles downloading pics atm. MY15

I had a similar issue many years ago with a UK Spec Vauxhall Astra GTE exhaust back box.

Mine was a 2.0 8v model, and the back box starting blowing at only 3 years old (something that is pretty much unheard of these days).
I was based in Germany so went to the local Opel garage to get a replacement and have the guys in the camp workshop to fit it.

They split the existing back box off, and when they went to fit the new one the diameter of the replacement pipe was larger than the centre section pipe. I had to drive round to the Opel garage with no back box to sort things out.

Turned out the Continental Spec 2.0 8v exhaust was a bigger bore than UK Spec, and it would take several days to get a UK box sourced.

They had a suitable twin pipe performance back box on the shelf, for less money than I paid for the genuine single pipe larger bore so I got them to fit it for free.

Morale of the story is.... car specs change seemingly at random, so fitment issues of all sorts of components crop up from time to time resulting in time/money/effort being wasted.

This was more of a case of incorrect reference number on LR's parts catalogue/schematic. I'm hoping they will now update this on their system.
Lucky for me and as I said earlier in this thread I wanted to have everything in place before I exchanged back box's.
I'm a fond one for "measure twice, cut once" approach. Laughing MY15

The fitting of my performance box ended up being included in the cost of the genuine box so no real drama there

The cutting of the old box only cost me a 'Herfy Handbag', couldn't grumble at £3 for 10 bottles of German lager Laughing

you could always have got a bigger bore complete exhaust system in order to make the clamp fit Laughing

On a more serious note, its a bit pathetic that LR couldn't get the part number right.

Not everyone is as correctly cautious as you and may have already cut the existing box off, leaving them with no LEGAL transport for several days/weeks while the correct part is identified and ordered.

Laughing that was an option Shocked Laughing
Want to keep it all LR so keen for this approach. I plan on keeping this one for a while.
Yeah, I was shocked, even more so when I spoke to another forum member whom had exact same experience. Hope they alter their schematics this time!
I'm sure there's a fine print "get out of clause" somewhere Laughing
I just hope the documenting of this will prevent anyone else having their car off the road for something that should take 10 minutes to complete. This affects everyone who wants to exchange their back box Diesel or Petrol as this is the documented LR way of exchanging. Not only Freelander 2 but all LR products. The other clamp I had was for Range Rover Sport. MY15

FREELANDER 2 EXHAUST CLAMP LR015372

Ok, let's try some pics, let me know if this is not the clamp as the downloads playing up atm.

This is the clamp you need LR015372
Clearly is marked for 60mm diameter pipe/Freelander 2.
I prefer this one to the other as the inner skin has material taken out along it entire length to allow the tightening/clamping of each end of the pipe equally along its entire length. The previous clamp only had material missing at the ends which mean the circumference wouldn't be equal along the clamp.
The Freelander 2 clamp is double the price of the Range Rover Sport clamp. Figure that out! Whistle MY15
