A good review of the Si4 http://www.themotorreport.com.au/57606/201...d-off-road Australia only imported the Si4 as an SE.

I literally bought my Si4 off the back of that review. Shame there is no HSE here... would have loved those extra speakers & that sunroof.

Haha, typical "POM in Australia"!!! Rolling with laughter
Sunroof option only even on Lux if you wanted to order one, in AU!
Really! Would you want a pane of glass 2 inches from ya scull, 40 degree heat with only a mesh
sun blind to reduce a Melanoma Laughing (JLRA knew that enough not to offer std).
This is one thing that LR really needed to change for hotter climates, even my FL1 had a proper sun shield to draw.
Saying this if mine had been coming with a sunroof I Still would have it, but I think I would have had to added some cooking foil to supplement that ridiculous sun blind excuse. Laughing MY15

My relatives in UK & Europe have all got sunroofs. It's not so bad there but I was in southern France & Italy with various cars which all had sunroofs & I am not overly keen. In Australia I just don't see the point, too much glare from above and flickering light from tree shadows.

But an HSE in petrol would be nice also with an Ecoboost 2.3L! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

The 2.0L is the Focus ST ecoboost though isn't it? Either way... it shifts!

We love tan's stu!
Still... sunroofs are UV tinted - always.

Re: fuel econo, my best on the highway is 6.8L /100km. With crusie on its 7.8L, always.

Even so, you need more than a perforated shade in Australia. I always had the solid
Blind drawn in summer. It's nice to have on occasions but in Australia most always is closed with A/C on so for the few times you'd actually use it you'd want to really have wanted one to order. MY15

First time I was in Aus, I was amazed how many people told me to 'ged a hat mate' so I ended up getting a baseball cap.
Still have it today 14 years later and get funny looks on the golf course, everyone else has 'Nike' 'titleist' 'Taylormade' etc and mine says 'Sydney Opera House' Rolling with laughter

The perforated blind is quite good, certainly cuts glare but of course a solid cover would be so much better.

Don't get me wrong if mine had been arriving with a sunroof and perforated blind I certainly wouldn't have said "noooooooo"!!!! Laughing
Just not really a great idea in Australia.
And just as I'm feeling guilty of "crashing" pporocki's thread - nice Freelander 2 Thumbs Up looks good in black and the 18's, I like! Very Happy

I wondered that but there are very small differences in power. No doubt it's the same basic engine, same as the Mondeo 2.0 ecoboost but with slight variations to suit individual models. Interestingly Ford engineers say that every Focus ST engine they bench tested exceeded the stated 247 bhp by quite a margin. Maybe the Si4 does too and I agree with you, it does shift.
German "RaceChip" tuning claim 309PS + 435Nm for a 550 Euro box. Would like to try that with the electric handbrake start Very Happy driving on the right side

LR should make a sun visor for Australian conditions!

We have no ozone down under as all the refrigerant fluorcarbons used decades ago removed it, mostly in the southern hemisphere. The ozone is slowly recovering, but you still get radiated down here and turn into lobsters with skin cancers.

Use a broad brimmed hat AND minimise sun exposed between 10 am to 3 pm.

Out of habit of wearing hats, people gave me strange looks in southern France & Italy!

Our evening weather generally says how much you are going to be radiated the next day!

After 10 minutes outside you really feel you are being cooked alive midday in summer on an extreme radiation day. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
