Side vent issue

So I tried removing my side vent to spray them gloss black with laquer, started with the drivers side vent and it feels like I have snapped the first clip on the left at the bottom, I didn't go any further as I didn't want to have it hanging off it the other clip snapped. I watched a tutorial on how to correctly remove them so know I'm doing it right, the next clip seems to be VERY tough to unsnap. As a common modification have any of you had issues in trying to unsnap these Censored ? Any tips/tricks that I may not be aware of? Thanks in advance as always! Thumbs Up

Be brave you need to give them a good tug. If you have seen the voids and picks you know where the lugs are. No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS

I'm scared Laughing

I've bought some strong auto 3m double tape so if I do end up snapping the clips I can tape it on temporarily and buy some new. I'll give it a shot later on but I'm sure the one clip has snapped.

It's on there so well I'm worried some dumb dumb before me has glued it on for whatever reason.

They often come up on fleabag, there's a good set for £20 on gumtree at the moment Whistle No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS

Ok so I've managed to get my side vents off!

Only snapping one clip so I'm pretty happy with that, can't believe how tight they were on. For anyone concerned, you really do need to pull the underneith as if you're going to break it!

I've sprayed mine with Hycote black gloss & Hycote clear laquer, very happy with the finish can provide images if anyone wants.

Well done - they are pretty firmly clipped in Shocked I didn't want to put you off trying by giving too much detail Whistle
I've sprayed mine matt black - they come up well and look far better than the OEM silvery finish. No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS
