So, I've had my Freelander for about two days now and a few things have come up, I don't know if they are problems or just quirks of the car, first up 'Park Assist (or parking sensors to everyone else)
The car is fitted with parking sensors, and in reverse this works, sometimes, other times it seems to 'see' things that are not there, other times it doesn't see a wall at all. I am beginning to wonder about it. Now according to the handbook that I have, there should be a 'park assist' next to the window lock to switch the system off, however there is no button. Is there any way of turning off the parking sensors? is this a firmware issue and my spec should not even have park assist, therefore no switch?
on another point is there a way of finding out exactly what options a car was built with, as I have some options that were not standard to the 'S' TD4, but I can't find out for example if I should have power fold mirrors or not. The manual is not that helpful as it covers everything.

Register on Topix, put in your VIN and you will get full 'as built' spec for your car.
As for parking sensors you should have switch above radio and rain sometimes makes them give false readings 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)
