noise on inserting key fob

Hi

a complete techincal novice question here. My hse td4.e has always made an engine noise as soon as the keyfob is entered. Sounds like some sort of pump priming something. It rus for a couple of seconds then goes quiet.

Today when I put the key in it sounded like a rock in a tumble drier and after driving continued to sound for about 2 mins after. It happened every time I entered the key and/or ran the engine. Even after removing the key and walking away it ran for at least a minute

The noise seems to be coming from the part pictured below. I could also feel a rattling from the same component

What am I looking at getting fixed??!

Appreciate your help

Cheers Taztastic! Had a read of a few related posts and that is 100% the part causing the trouble! Still 1 month left on warranty (used, not new car) so hopefully covered!
