If the headset is threadless and 1 1/4 inches then you could easily fit a fork but to avoid too much change to frame geometry go for 60 to 75mm travel. Clumber park has a waymarked 12.5 mile route and sherwood pines has a variety of routes. try the sustrans website and the CTC and have a look at the trans-pennine trail. |

AndyC I was looking last night on new bike (more day dreaming), my Orange setup cost me £700 when i bought it many years ago, it been hung in the garage since a car crash i had, had it serviced and they only had to change my gear selectors. The weight of it still in the same ball park as my brother Mongoose hardtail he has just bought, so not looking at changing it yet its Retro

Well I dunno about the bike prices in the UK, but here they have plumeted, so a bike costing £700 several years ago whould cost about £250 now. Saw a real nice (new) "last years model" bike on sale for £1200 that had cost £3500 last year (Norwegian prices converted). No I didnt buy it either as mine is only a year old 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
