Italy 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Nazca Sand
New to Freelanders

Had a few great Range Rovers but used a Subaru Forester to move to Italy. With UK plates it was getting a bit long in the tooth to regularly drive to the UK so changed to an Italian Reg Freelander 2 last month' Really like it but drove to UK and back this week and raised some questions. With the Satnav, when I stop for refueling or any other stop where the fob is removed the destination seems to be lost and I have to reprogram the route, bit of a pain when I just want to continue my route, any hints please.
Got a blowing noise on acceleration but with research it looks like I may need to replace intercoler hoses.
On my way north met with a black Freelander2 reg X 4 ELP on same track as me obviously a car person as it was looking good and a personal reg so if they are on this site thumbs up as I had driven about 1000km and in convoy with them took my mind of the humdrum drive as I accompanied them towards Lille.
Drove back yesterday and between Switzerland and Perugia averaged 8 ltres per 100km which is over 35 mpg

The sat nav should keep its settings, mine does for weeks if I forget to end guidance at the destination, whether it is a battery, or a chip, I'm not sure, could even be a permanent live feed via a fuse. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
2012 HSE SD4 In Orkney Grey now gone, best car ever.
