Wheel Change?

Hi,

I have a 2013 XS and was considering changing the wheels to the HSE 18" 235/60/r18 wheels. Apart from the cosmetic/appearance of the car can anyone advise me as to what other effect the change in wheels would have to the handling, ride and steering of the car. Would the change be noticeable? Car used for general motoring and for towing a caravan.

Thanks
Dave

Ride will be harder, might get more road noise into the car from the same type of tyre like for like?
Shallower side wall will mean your rims could be subject to kerb and pot hole damage more easily as theres less rubber to protect them?
Handling might be sharper as the shallower side wall will mean they flex less on cornering?
If you fit different size wheels to what you have it is probably wise to have the steering geometry checked once they are on too??

Have a look at this thread
http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic24074.html

The size you want is recommended for the FL2 (have a look at the label on the door pillar) so the rolling radius is the same as your OEM wheels and tires therefore no adverse effect on geometry/ Speedo etc.
