Check whos been servicing it and whether its been done to schedule, even low miles cars still need frequent servicing.

I bought a low mileage one last year-28k on a 07 plate. Mine still had the original tyres which, although they had plenty of tread, had degraded due to age. I changed them after nearly putting mine in a ditch The other thing I would check is the age of the brake fluid and the state of the discs. Again mine was still on the original discs and, although the faces are still good, they are heavily corroded between the inner and outer disc. I am changing them Wednesday so I will post a photo of the old ones to give you an idea. Oil leaks develop with age as much as mileage so it is well worth removing the sump cover and having a quick check. A small leak is probably to be expected with an older FL2 but if the sump cover is dripping with oil I would negotiate or walk away.

Well i had a check underneath and all seemed well, no oil leaks and it looks as good as new, it has done 31k on an 07 plate 1 owner with full history, so iv took the plunge and put a deposit down |

Congratulations. Mine flipped over to 35k today! Rare cars now with that sort of mileage. Had the owner had much interest or were you the only caller? I bought mine as a keeper but may have to move it on if we decide to move house Anyway, I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have |

bought my 07 2 years ago with 27k on it. Now on 34k. No problems so far but recently I noticed the friction material on the rear pads was coming away from the metal backing plates, presumably due to corrosion. Worth checking on these older low mileage cars as the pads could still be original. Only seen this once before & that was on a set of pads 25 years old.
