EGR valve: leave well alone. Use 2 stroke as a fuel additive, plenty of info on forum, and if car is used for a lot if short journeys give it a spirited!! run for a few miles weekly.

Ummm, please do a lot of research before putting 2 stroke in, I blame this for killing my x-type diesel.

With the egr blanked, it takes longer to warm up but seems good to me 👍 2008 xs

I'm with cqr - blanking the egr stops all the c*** from the exhaust going back into the engine and keeps everything nice and clean. It also helps avoid the swirl flaps from getting brittle, breaking up and going in to the engine. Longer warm up time is hardly noticeable in practice. |
